The resilience and strong spirit of Samsui women is very well portrayed in this bronze sculpture. Crafted with Mr Lim Leong Seng’s artistry, the semi-abstract interpretation wonderfully captures the essence of the iconic women who played a pivotal role in the early years of Singapore’s nation-building. The semi-abstraction style also conveys a sense of motion, their postures capturing how they bravely confront life with strength. 

The play of light on the bronze surface adds a different visual dimension to the sculpture. 

Infused with symbolism and depth, this series presents the tenacity of the Samsui women.
