Victor Ang 洪礼信（阿信）
In the 1980s, Victor Ang 阿信 received training in bird and flower painting, calligraphy writing as well as seal carving from different masters such as Liu Ming Chew, Wong Yi and Chen Wen Hsi. With a strong foundation in classical forms of Chinese ink painting and writing, Victor Ang has since developed unique ways of presenting the ink medium. This includes his Creative Layered Calligraphy series and his well known Creative Yin Yang Calligraphy works.
Victor Ang’s paintings and creative calligraphy creations have been showcased in Singapore and Malaysia. In the mid 1990s, Victor Ang was invited by NAFA as Guest Assessor due to his vast experience in creative design and film. In 2024, Victor Ang was conferred the role of visiting professor at the Japan International Art Research Institute, Tokyo.

The East Wind carries a breath of renewal and hope. Moving across familiar ground towards distant horizons, it speaks of growing through change while remaining rooted in memory.

乐了，是一种简单而真切的快乐。也许只是生活中一个轻松的瞬间、一声笑、一次相聚，便足以让心里亮起来——快乐，其实就藏在平凡的日子里。
“乐了” captures a simple, genuine sense of joy. Sometimes, all it takes is a lighthearted moment, a shared laugh, or being together to brighten the heart — joy often lives in the ordinary moments of life.
半醉 · Half-Drunk by Victor Ang, 90x45cm
半醉，不在于醉意，而在于一种恰到好处的松弛。放下片刻的忙碌与烦忧，让自己沉浸在当下，半醒半醉之间，享受生活最自在的时刻。
“Half-Drunk” is less about intoxication but more of a state of gentle release，lingering between wakefulness and dreams, simply enjoying the freedom of being present.

自在，是一种不被外界左右的从容。忙碌之中，也能留一份空间给自己，随心而行，安然自得。心若自在，处处皆是风景。
“自在” is the quiet freedom of being comfortable with oneself. Even amid life’s busyness, there is always room to pause, breathe, and simply be. When the heart is at ease, every moment becomes a view worth savouring.
舍得 · Letting Go by Victor Ang, 90x45cm
舍得，是懂得取舍的智慧。人生有得有失，愿意放下不必要的执着，才能为真正重要的事留出空间。有舍，才有得；懂得放下，也是一种自在。
“舍得” is the wisdom of knowing what to hold on to and what to let go. By releasing what no longer matters, we make space for what truly does. Sometimes, letting go is how we make room for more.
随缘 · Letting Things Flow by Victor Ang, 90x45cm
随缘，不是随波逐流，而是懂得顺其自然。尽力而为，也接受无法强求的结果，不执着于得失，心自然多一份从容。
“随缘” is not about drifting through life, but about allowing things to unfold naturally. We do what we can, accept what we cannot control, and find peace in letting life take its own course.
