sim kwang Hun 沈观汉

Born in 1945, Singapore, Mr Sim Kwang Hun is a master in Chinese calligraphy writing. He has many years of practice, teaching and demonstrating calligraphy writing under his belt.

He held a solo exhibition in 1974 at Chinese Chamber of Commerce with former Member of Parliament, Dr Ho Kah Leong, as his guest of honour. He spent a couple of years learning painting and writing from first generation artist Chen Wen Hsi during his teenage years. In 1992, he was selected alongside Chua Ek Kay as one of the artists by Singapore Tourism Promotion Board to hold a calligraphy demonstration at the Seville Expo. In 2004, Sim wrote a book titled, “The Evolution of Chinese Cursive Writing”.
