This artwork is part of Terence Teo’s famous “Rainforests” series of paintings. The combination of various ink tones and lines of different intensities forge a sense of fluidity in the composition. The retention of negative space surrounding the trees reflects the artist’s traditional ink painting background while the touches of white and blue paints indicate his intentions of developing this form of expression.
In 2013, Terence Teo won the Asia Art Award at the Asia Invitation Art Exhibition held in Seoul Korea in 2013. His paintings are actively showcased in both Singapore and Hong Kong.
