This painting by Singaporean artist Terence Teo is inspired by traditional landscape paintings but expressed with his iconic style of layering multiple colours over one another. In the bottom section of the painting, the artist paints a river with hints of reflections of trees from the forest and mountains painted in the middle segment. In the top part of the painting, he freely depicts a beautiful sky. The three sections that form this composition are harmonious due to the consistency in colours and brushstrokes applied. Overall, this is an ambitious and complete artwork by the artist.
In 2013, Terence Teo won the Asia Art Award at the Asia Invitation Art Exhibition held in Seoul Korea. His paintings are actively showcased in both Singapore and Hong Kong.
