Nai Swee Leng’s important foundational years in fine arts was spent learning from the late ink master Fan Chang Tien who was a artist that belonged to the lineage of the Shanghai School of Xieyi Painting. He as not only mastered the use o the Chinese Brush and ink in his works, but he is also proficient in the Lingnan style of Chinese art. Nai Swee Leng has perfected his art through more than forty years of hard work and effort. With his own unique artistic language, Nai Swee Leng has become one of the most important ink masters in Singapore
