Marvin Chew strategically highlights the iconic shophouses along trengganu street by emphasising their colour tones whilst applying muted shades on the surrounding infrastructures. This creates a nice contrast and lifts the painting. To date, Marvin Chew has held 4 solo exhibitions. In 2017, Marvin participated in “Commemorating NS50 Through Art” series of exhibitions in conjunction of 50th Anniversary of National Service in Singapore, jointly organized by Singapore Art Society and Singapore Armed Forces.
