Lim Leong Seng uses bronze to depict Singapore’s most prominent figures. He allows the audience to not only reminisce the olden days but also to appreciate and remember the history of Singapore through his sculptures. There have been many large scale sculptures installed by Mr Lim Leong Seng - 37 to be exact. Some of which include “Lantern Procession” and “Indian Settlers” which can be found at Telok Ayer Green as well as “School Time Memories” at Far East Plaza.

He has also created sculptures out of repurposed everyday objects in “Lim Leong Seng’s New Era (1976, remade 2022)”. Here he made a column of air-filled plastic bags attached to a string and suspended from the ceiling of The Spine Hall. Reflecting on a new era in time when plastic bags had been introduced to Singapore, Lim repurposes these humble disposable receptacles into aesthetic objects.

Mr Lim also recently had a book launch titled “Lim Leong Seng: Journey from the Wilderness” at the National Gallery Singapore on November 2022.
